Community Comments, Questions, and Suggestions

Have something related to Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) that you want the MechE DEI Working Group to know about? Add it here and we will take a look. We welcome all comments, questions, suggestions and interest and hope that this will be a way to work together improving the climate of our department. This information will be used to shape what actions the group focuses on. 

Topics we want to hear about:  What did you like/dislike about the open letter to the department from June 19, 2020?  -  Do you have any specific concerns you think could be better addressed in the department?  -  Have you had a really positive experience related to DEI (eg a faculty or staff member you want to give kudos to or a successful training)?  - Do you have a personal anecdote that you want us to consider?

A few notes: Providing your name is optional but we would appreciate affiliation information. Some of the results might be shared with the department (anonymously) in our conversations, you have the option to opt out of this in the form. Note, if you have experienced harassment or bias and need support, there are resources available around campus to help: the MechE REFS, the Institute Discrimination & Harassment Response Office, the Ombuds Office and many more.
